A holistic perspective recognizes the interdependence of factors—such as social, economic, environmental, and cultural needs—and seeks to create synergies among them, fostering a more resilient, vibrant, and thriving community for all. As practiced, development programs (with a holistic perspective) are effective by focusing on specific issues—collectively, different programs will affect holistic development.

Spark promotes Holistic Community Development. Our Vision is a greater Omaha metropolitan area where all neighborhoods have the foundational assets necessary to thrive and prosper. This applies rigorous real estate development methods while considering all the foundational assets: social, political, economic, and physical, that are necessary for communities to thrive and prosper. Our role is to support and supplement the work of existing organizations, build upon existing community assets, provide funding, leverage resources to close financing gaps, and to help educate and minimize the risk for developers who would otherwise not invest in these neighborhoods.
